The challenge for this roofing project was that the client wanted the new extension roof to match the original house. An extra feature, which due to our recent equipment and training investment is no longer such a challenge, was that they also required a flat roof to meet thermal performance standards.

Matching Slate Tile Selection

From our site visit and quote we had made comprehensive notes on the job so on being given the go ahead to proceed with the roofing project we knew right away reclaimed welsh slate tiles 12x8” & reclaimed 12” clay ridge were the tiles we should source. This efficiency from the start impressed the client as it cut down the amount of time required for the project, which was an important factor for the client as the roof was paramount to the completion of the extension.
