Peak Park Authority repointing and roof repairs

Roofline just complete 3 weeks restoration/repairs & maintenance works on all roofs at the Peak Park Authority offices in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Works included restoration works to heritage cast iron rain water goods, some pieces were taken back to the metal & painted to customer specification. Items that were beyond repair were purchased from a heritage foundry in nearby Holmfirth.

All roofs were cleaned of heavy moss, scraped, wire brushed & then a moss treatment was applied. Coping stones to the old wing of the building were removed, cleaned then re-bedded in traditional lime mortar.

Various stone & slate roofs were repaired due to broken or slipped tiles. 7 roofs were newly covered with our bitumen felt system Soprema SL500.

Cable roof trays were installed to tidy all electrical cables on the roof.

The client has informed me we will be contacted to do similar works to their nearby visitor centre
